DEUTSCH: Mastermind Ed Warby spricht über “Lacrima Mortis”, das am 27.01. erscheint. “‘Lacrima Mortis’ ist ein neuer Blick in die dunkle Seite meiner musikalischen Persönlichkeit, eine dicke Scheibe epischer Doom Metal und dreht sich um das Thema Tod und seine Nachwirkung. Ich habe das ganze Jahr fieberhaft an den neuen Songs gearbeitet, um das 2009er Debüt ‘Burden of Grief’ in allen Belangen zu übertreffen. Ich hoffe, ihr stimmt mir zu, dass es mir geglückt ist.”

DEUTSCH: Nach ihrem starken und kompromisslosen Erstling ‘Until We Are Outnumbered’ präsentieren die Dänische trash metal Maschine um SängerJacob Bredahl endlich den sehnsüchtig erwarteten Nachfolger.
‘Facing The Imminent Prospect Of Death’ ist die Fortsetzung von der charakteristischen Durchschlagskraft und Intensität der Band. Songs wie ‘Total War’, ‘Let The Maggots Have It’ und ‘Fucked In The Search For Life’ sprechen eine ernste Sprache dominiert von harten Riffs und alles-zerstörenden Grooves, die bestimmt mehr als ein Schleudertrauma verursachen. Die Band ergänzt die Palette mit Death und Hardcore Elementen, was dem Album eine neugefundene Energie verleiht.

From the get-go, “Facing the Imminent Prospect of Death” continues to deliver the band’s characteristic vigor and intensity. Songs like “Total War”, “Let the Maggots Have It”, and “Fucked in the Search for Life” speak a stern language dominated by heavy riffs and all-destroying grooves sure to cause more than one case of whiplash. After a sensational tour through South America in spring 2011, more dates in Europe plus an outstanding appearance on the 2011 edition of the Wacken Open Air, the band was fired up to enter the recording studio to start tracking their ninth studio album. The target was crystal clear – producer & bassist Mat Sinner: “After touring for two years without breaks, the guys realized the fan favourites very well and we wrote an untamed, powerful and crushing album together”. Sänger Ralf Scheepers adds: “the plan was to record an album for the fans with rough metal riffs, screaming vocals and good melodies …… and finally it became a monster – a tough ‘bang-your-head’ metal album called “Unbreakable”.
