DEUTSCH: Die österreichische Metalcore Band ist das neueste Napalm Mitglied. The Sorrow arbeiten im Moment an ihrem vierten Album, welches im Frühjahr 2012 erscheinen wird! The Sorrow haben in den vergangenen 4 Jahren über 300 Shows und Festivalsgigs, darunter Festivals wie Wacken, With Full Force, Summerbreeze, Masters of Rock, Gods Of Metal, FME, etc. gespielt und gehören damit zu den aktivsten Live-Acts im deutschsprachigen Raum mit einer internationalen Fanbase.

ENGLISH: The Austrian metalcore band The Sorrow has joined the Napalm ranks and is currently working on their fourth album, which will be released in early 2012! The Sorrow has played more than 300 shows and festival gigs (including Wacken, With Full Force, Summerbreeze, Masters of Rock, Gods Of Metal, FME, etc.) in the past 4 years, making them one of the most active internationally-renowned German live acts around.

“My Sleeping Karma sind sehr dankbar und erfreut, mit einem der wichtigsten Plattenlabels in der Independent Rock / Metal – Szene zusammenarbeiten zu dürfen. Bei unzähligen Meetings haben uns die Napalm-Mitarbeiter das Gefühl gegeben, My Sleeping Karma’s musikalische Vision zu verstehen. CANDLEMASS: 3 Decades of Doom & Farewell Album

DEUTSCH: Das ganze Napalm Records Team ist sehr stolz darauf, die schwedische Doom Metal Legende Candlemass in ihren Reihen begrüßen zu dürfen. Die Band arbeitet im Moment am Material für ihr Abschiedsalbum, das im Frühjahr 2012 veröffentlicht werden soll.
Candlemass: “Nun ist es offiziell, die schwedischen Doom Meister Candlemass haben für ihr 11tes und letztes Studioalbum einen Vertrag mit dem österreichischen Label Napalm Records unterschrieben. Die Band ist sehr glücklich darüber und freut sich auf die Zusammenarbeit mit so einem großartigen und wachsenden Label wie Napalm – Heimat von solch coolen Bands wie Monster Magnet, Karma to Burn und Isole.”
Candlemass arbeiten im Moment an neuem Material und werden die Songs im December aufnehmen, um das Album im Frühjahr zu veröffentlichen. Die berühmten Doom Metalists aus Stockholm planen einen Abschiedstour mit zahllosen Shows, die sie sie hoffentlich in C-Mass unbekannte Gebiete wie Australien, Japan, China, Asia bringen wird. Ebenfalls sind Dates auf den großen europäischen Sommer Festivals geplant, sowie in den USA und Südamerika.
Candlemass können auf eine lange und sehr erfolgreiche Karriere zurückblicken. Die Erfinder des Dooms – mit ihrem kolossalen 1986er Werk “Epicus Doomicus Metalicus” – feierten ein Jahr später den weltweiten Durchbruch mit “Nightfall”. Die Band löste sich 1993 nach 8 Jahren, 6 Alben auf, die heute alle einen Legendenstatus erreicht haben.
2004 kehrten Candlemass im klassichen Line-Up (inkl. Mönch Messiah Marcolin) zurück. Erneut erntete die Band großen Erfolg. Das weiße Reunion Album (2005) beförderte die Band auf ein neues Level in Sachen Verkäufe und Berühmtheit. Mit “King of the Grey Islands” (2007) und “Death Magic Doom” (2009) festigten CANDLEMASS ihren Status in der Szene – bekamen zahllose “Album des Monats”-Auszeichnungen, spielten ausverkaufte Konzerte weltweit und feierten 25 Jahre Bandgeschichte auf dem Höhepunkt ihrer Popularität. Der Texaner Robert Lowe übernahm ab 2007 den Gesang. Candlemass – 3 DECADES OF DOOM!
ENGLISH: Napalm Records is very proud to announce that the Swedish doom metal legend Candlemass has joined their ranks. The band is currently working on material for their farewell album, which is tentatively scheduled for a spring 2012 release.
Candlemass: “Now it is official, Swedish doom ‘meisters’ Candlemass have signed with Austrian Napalm Records for their 11th and last studio album. The band is very happy and excited about this and are looking forward to work with such a great and growing label as Napalm, home of cool bands like Monster Magnet, Karma to Burn, and Isole.”
Candelmass are currently working on new material and will do one last recording in December, for a spring release. The famous Stockholm doom metalists plan to do numerous shows around the world on a farewell tour that hopefully will take them to uncharted C-mass territories such as Australia, Japan, China and Asia, as well as to the great European summer festivals, USA and South America.
Candlemass have had a long and very successfull carrer. Inventors of Doom in 1986 with the colossal “Epicus Doomicus Metallicus” and worldwide breakthrough the year after with “Nightfall”. The band disbanded in 1993 after eight years and six albums that today have reached legendary status.
In 2004 Candlemass reformed with their classic line-up featuring the fearsome monk Messiah Marcolin. Massive success again! The white reunion album (2005) took the band to new levels of sales and fame! With “King of the Grey Islands (2007) and “Death Magic Doom” (2009), Candlemass cemented their reputation…owned the the record of the month lists, played packed halls all over the world, and celebrated 25 years as a band more popular than ever! Texan Robert Lowe took over the vocal duties in 2007. Candlemass – 3 DECADES OF DOOM!
