ALESTORM – Album & Video Update
29. April 2011DEUTSCH: “Back Through Time” erscheint Anfang Juni und ist in folgenden Ausführungen erhältlich: Regular Jewelcase, Digibook inkl. 2 Bonus Tracks, Boxset inkl. Digibook und Anhänger oder als Deluxe Boxset inkl. Digibook und Captain Morgan Bobblehead.
Ebenfalls wird es ein neues Video geben. Zu den Arbeiten am neuen Clip gibt es folgendes Statement der Band.
“Ahoy ihr Halunken! Wir sind gerade aus dem sonnigen Belgrad in Serbien zurückgekehrt. Dort haben wir das Video zu “Shipwrecked” abgedreht. Bei dieser Produktion wurden keine Kosten und MÜhen gescheut und ich kann mit Gewissheit sagen, dass es das beste Musikvideo aller Zeiten ist! ‘Aber wie kannst Du so sicher sein?’ höre ich euch fragen! Ich sage euch warum: Violinspielende Liliputaner! Heiße Bräute! Abgefahrene CGI Effekte! Zögelloser Alkoholmissbrauch! All das und noch vieles mehr! Das Video wurde produziert von Ivan Colic (Epica, Kamelot, Kataklysm) und wird irgendwann im Mai veröffentlicht – einen Monat vor der Veröffentlichung unseres neuen Albums ‘Back Through Time’. Ich bin mir sicher, dass ihr es – ebenso wie wir – kaum erwarten könnt, das fertige Produkt zu betrachten! Fröhliches Plündern, Chris & Alestorm”
ENGLISH: “Back Through Time” will hit the Seven Seas in early June and will be available as a Regular Jewel Case, Digibook incl. 2 bonus tracks, Boxset incl. digibook and pendant & Deluxe Box Set incl. digibook and Captain Morgan bobblehead!
In addition, a new video will soon be released. The band issued the following update with regard to its production.
“Ahoy you bunch of bastards! We’ve just got back from sunny Belgrade in Serbia, where we’ve been filming the music video for our new song “Shipwrecked”. No expense was spared in the making of it, and I can confidently say that it’s gonna be the best damn music video ever.’But how can you be so sure?’ I hear you ask. Here’s why: violin playing midgets! Hot medieval babes! Ridiculous CGI! Rampant alcohol abuse! All this and much much more! The video was directed by the mighty Ivan Colic (Epica, Kamelot, Kataklysm), and should be released sometime in May, a month before our forthcoming album “Back Through Time” hits the stores! WARRANT – Neues Album ‘Rockaholic’ ab Mai / New album ‘Rockaholic’ released in May
28. April 2011DEUTSCH: Die Veröffentlichung des brandneuen Albums von Warrant ‘Rockaholic’ wurde für den 13. Mai 2011 bestätigt über Frontiers Records. Als Kopf der Produktion von ‘Rockaholic’ war mega-Produzent Keith Olsen (Ozzi Osbourne, Whitesnake, Scorpions) tätig und gemixt wurde von Pat Regan (Kiss, Deep Purple, Ted Nugent). Das Album markiert die Rückkehr der Band zu ihrer Markenzeichen-Musik. HIER kannst du das Albumcover schon einmal anschauen und unten findest du die Tracklist. Die europäischen Tourdaten werden demnächst veröffentlicht. Zudem kannst du mittels Klick auf die drei verlinkten Songs diese Probehören.
ENGLISH: Warrant’s brand new album ‘Rockaholic’ has now been confirmed for the release on May 13th 11 on Frontiers Records. At the helm of the album is mega-producer Keith Olsen (Ozzy Osbourne, Whitesnake, Scorpions) and it was mixed by Pat Regan (Kiss, Deep Purple, Ted Nugent). VOODOO CIRCLE – Vinyl-Release “Broken Heart Syndrome”!
28. April 2011DEUTSCH: Mit „Broken Heart Syndrome“ hat Alex Beyrodt´s Voodoo Circle im Februar DAS Classic Hard Rock Album des Jahres veröffentlicht. Aufgrund der großen Nachfrage kommt das Chartalbum (Platz 64 in den deutschen Media Control Charts) nun sogar zu Vinyl-Ehren: das Album wird nämlich am 13. Mai als hochwertige, limitierte 2-LP (in 180 Gramm schwerem, schwarzem Vinyl) im Klappcover erscheinen.
Mat Sinner: „
Der große Erfolg von „Broken Heart Syndrome“ ist für uns noch immer eine wunderbare Überraschung. Die Reaktionen sind weiterhin unglaublich. Umso mehr freuen wir uns, dass „Broken Heart Syndrome“ passend zum musikalischen Vibe nun auch in einer wertigen Vinyl-Auflage veröffentlicht wird.“
Alex Beyrodt:
„Wir erhielten hierzu viele Anfragen aus aller Welt, und nun wird dieser Wunsch erfüllt. Das ist auch für uns etwas Besonderes, liegen doch Voodoo Circle Circle´s Wurzeln im klassischen Hard Rock der 70er und frühen 80er Jahre – einer Zeit, in der Musikgenuss eng mit Vinyl verbunden war.”
Im September werden Voodoo Circle ihre Songs endlich live auf europäischen Bühnen vorstellen.

28. April 2011DEUTSCH: Als Vorgeschmack auf das am 29. April erscheinende neue Lake Of Tears Album „Illwill“ stehen nun vorab vier Songs („U.N.S.A.N.E“, „House Of The Setting Sun“, “Midnight Madness” und “Illwill” HIER zum Streamen bereit.
“Illwill“ wird als CD, limitiertes Digipak (mit 3 Bonustracks) und limitiertes Vinyl (mit anderen Coverartwork) erscheinen.

KEEL – Europa & UK Tourplan 2011 / Europe & UK Tour 2011 Itinerary
28. April 2011DEUTSCH: Keel schaut auf ein erfolgreiches Jahr 2010 in den Niederlanden und Schweden zurück, das sogar ein Primetime Auftritt am Stockholmer Rock Out Festival beinhaltete. Jetzt hat Keel die Termine für ihre Europa/UK Tour 2011 angekündigt.
Die Band, die ihr kritisch gefeiertes Comeback-Album “Streets Of Rock & Roll ” letztes Jahr über Frontiers Records herausbrachte gleichzeitig mit dem Album ”The Right To Rock: 25th Anniversary Edition” werden in vier Ländern in fünf Tagen auftreten. Zuletzt steht Konzert in London auf dem Plan, welches den ersten UK-Auftritt seit ihrer Tour in 1986 mit Dio markieren soll.

ENGLISH: Following up on successful 2010 shows in the Netherlands and Sweden that included a prime time appearance at the Stockholm Rock Out Festival, Keel has announced the dates for their 2011 Europe/UK Tour.
The band, which released their critically acclaimed comeback album “Streets Of Rock & Roll” last year on Frontiers Records simultaneously with “The Right To Rock: 25th Anniversary Edition,” will hit four countries in five days, finishing up with a London concert which marks Keel’s first UK appearance since their 1986 tour with Dio.

28. April 2011DEUTSCH: Ob es auf dem Wacken Open Air in Deutschland , in Spanien mit Blind Guardian, mit Edguy in Moskau oder auch auf dem Sweden Rock Festival war… Freedom Call konnte schon immer mit außergewöhnlichen Bühnenqualitäten punkten.
Seit nun über 10 Jahren und zahlreichen Tourneen sind die Melodicmetaller um den Songwriter Chris Bay (Vocals, Gitarre) auf allen Bühnen in Europa unterwegs und können sich nach bisher 6 veröffentlichten Studioalben, einem Livealbum und einer EP und einer Gesamtverkaufszahl von fast 200.000 Einheiten zu einem der großen deutschen Metal Acts zählen.
Das letzte Studio Album „Legend Of The Shadowking“ (2010) konnte viel Lob einheimsen und auch die Europa-Tourneen mit Gamma Ray und Axel Rudi Pell liefen für das Quartett aus Franken mehr als erfolgreich.
Nun war es aber an der Zeit die erste DVD in Angriff zu nehmen welche Ende Dezember im Z7 in Pratteln in der Schweiz aufgenommen wurde.

FREEDOM CALL live 2011: 26.11. CH-Zürich – Dynamo
ENGLISH: Whether it was at the Wacken Open Air in Germany, in Spain with Blind Guardian, with Edguy in Moscow or at the Sweden Rock Festival … Freedom Call has always been able to score with exceptional stage qualities.
For more than 10 years and after many tours the melodic metalband around the songwriter Chris Bay (vocals, guitar) are traveling from stage to stage all over Europe. As they published 6 studio albums, a live album and an EP and sold nearly 200,000 units they count as a great German metal act.
The last studio album “Legend Of The Shadow King” (2010) earned a lot of praise. Also the European tour with Gamma Ray and Axel Rudi Pell was really successful for the quartet of Franconia.
Now it was time for the first DVD which was shot in the end of December 2010 at Z7 in Pratteln, Switzerland.

28. April 2011DEUTSCH: Die polnischen Female Fronted Heavy Metaller Crystal Viper haben zu ihrem Song “Night Of The Sin” (vom aktuellen Album “Legends”) einen “one take no dubs” Videoclip gedreht. Will heißen: das Material wurde am Stück live im Proberaum aufgenommen und nicht soundtechnisch bearbeitet. Mehr live geht nicht…
ENGLISH: Polish female fronted Traditional Heavy Metal act Crystal Viper, released the “one take no dubs” video to the song “Night Of The Sin”. The song is taken from the latest Crystal Viper studio album “Legends” – and this is a rare chance to hear it in its “live version”, as the song was recorded without overdubs, and the recording was not mixed and mastered.
JON OLIVA´S PAIN – trauern um Gitarrist Matt LaPorte / guitarist Matt LaPorte passed away
28. April 2011DEUTSCH: Ein weiterer großer Künstler der Metal-Szene ist von uns gegangen: Matt LaPorte, langjähriger Gitarrist von Jon Oliva’s Pain, verstarb am Morgen des 20. April 11 im Alter von nur 40 Jahren.
Unten das Statement der Band:
ENGLISH: Another great musician is gone from us. Matt LaPorte, long-time guitarist of Jon Oliva’s Pain, passed away on the morning of April 20th 2011. Matt was only 40 years old…
Here´s the statement of the band:
“It is with great heartache and sorrow that we relay the passing of our dear friend, bandmate, guitarist and brother Matthew LaPorte.
“Matt passed away in his home shortly after 6 p.m. on Wednesday. No information regarding his cause of death is currently available.
“Matt was a brilliant guitar player on all levels. He understood that instrument better than almost anyone. His knowledge of music in general was just amazing. His contributions to JON OLIVA’S PAIN and every band he ever played with was also without measure. He was truly a one-guitar army when he needed to be and his solo performances on all the JON OLIVA’S PAIN CDs will forever send chills down our spines. A near-20-year history and friendship with one of the true greats has now ended and we are deeply saddened.
“Matt was a fan of all kinds of music and instruments, having even embarked on a mission to conquer the hammered dulcimer…one of the hardest instruments to play. He was always trying to expand his musical horizons and influences. He marveled at the musical greats, both old and new. He was never one to rate his talents above others and often commented about the great new music and artists he had just discovered.
“Criss Oliva was without a doubt his most profound influence, and anyone who saw him play SAVATAGE songs knew that Criss was channeling his talents via Matt. Matt’s attention to detail and always striving to play everything perfect is without comparison. We would sit for hours during rehearsals with him muddling over whether a guitar chord was played exactly as recorded. Sometimes frustrating, but always appreciated in the end. He was the professionals’ professional when it came to his guitar skills, and the loss of such a talent will be forever felt.
“Matt was a gentle soul, and would avoid conflict at all costs. He got along with everyone and greeted all with a smile on his face. There was a shyness and almost embarrassment felt by him from the adoration of his fans around the world…and he had many. He was humbled by the love and respect music fans gave to him, but in a quiet way, that made him work just a little bit harder. His had a hilarious, twisted and often sarcastic sense of humor that was unique to him. A very funny man, indeed.
“We miss you terribly, Matt, and we will celebrate your music and life each and every day. That great band in the sky just got a whole lot better, and you are in the most peaceful place you could have ever hoped for.
“Until we meet again…”
