8. Februar 2011DEUTSCH: Die deutschen Metal-Urgesteine U.D.O. haben die Aufnahmen zu ihrem neuen Album “REV-Raptor” beendet. Das Werk, welches am 20. Mai 2011 erscheinen wird, wurde zwischen Juni 2010 und Februar 2011 in den Roxx Studios in Pulheim bei Köln aufgenommen und gemischt, die Gitarrist und Produzent Stefan Kaufmann gehören.
Ende letzten Jahres musste die Band um die beiden Accept-Legenden Udo Dirkschneider und Stefan Kaufmann eine Zwangspause einlegen, da Kaufmann erneut an jenen vehementen Rückenproblemen litt, die ihn seinerzeit auch zur Aufgabe seines Schlagzeugpostens bei Accept zwangen.
Kaufmann ist nun jedoch wieder fit und konnte die Aufnahmen zu “REV-Raptor” ohne weitere Verzögerungen vollenden.
Das Cover des Albums wird erneut eine markante Comicfigur zieren. Der “Dominator” erstrahlt auf “REV-Raptor” in einem noch knalligeren, heftigeren Design und soll als U.D.O.-Maskottchen fortan allen Alben die nötige Aufmerksamkeit bescheren.
Gemastert wurde das Album von Manfred Melchior in den MM Sound Digital Studios in Steinhagen.
Kommende Woche werden U.D.O. in Nürnberg zwei Videos zu “REV-Raptor” abdrehen. Außerdem werden die Fotoshootings zum neuen Album über die Bühne gehen.
ENGLISH: The german metal stalwarts U.D.O. have finished recording their new album “REV-Raptor”. The album, which is going to be released on may 20th 2011, was recorded and mixed between june 2010 and february 2011 at the roxx studios in pulheim, near cologne. The studios belong to guitarist and producer Stefan Kaufmann.
Late last year, the band around the two Accept-legends Dirk Udo Schneider and Stefan Kaufmann had to take a forced break due to Kaufmann’s vehement back suffers that forced him at that time also to give up his job at the drums with Accept.
Kaufmann, however, is now fit again and completed the recording of “REV-Raptor” without further delay.
The cover of the album is again a prominent comic figure. The “Dominator” shines on “REV-Raptor” in a more punchy, more violent design and will from now on bring the necessary attention as a mascot for all U.D.O albums.
The album was mastered by Manfred Melchior in the MM sound Digital Studios in Steinhagen.
Next week U.D.O. will shoot two videos for “REV-Raptor” in Nuremberg. In addition, the photo shoot for the new album will take place.
BETZEFER – “Doomsday” new Zombie-Video!

Februar 2011DEUTSCH: Die israelischen Groove Metaller Betzefer schicken als Vorboten ihres neuen Albums “Freedom To The Slave Makers” einen aufwendig gedrehten Zombie-Promoclip namens “Doomsday“ ins Rennen. Dessen titelgebender Song auch als Soundtrack für den Film “A Land Of Flowing” verwendet wird. “Freedom To The Slave Makers” erscheint am 18. Februar (als CD & Ltd. Digi Pak).

SAMAEL – Studio-Bericht/studio raport

Februar 2011DEUTSCH: Sergey Ulyanov (der schon den Clip zu “Black Hole” gemacht hat) und ein Freund der Band ist, hat die Gelegenheit genutzt und hat mit seiner Kamera bewaffnet Samael im Studio besucht. Das Resultat seiner Aufnahmen präsentiert sich nun in total 3 Album-Trailers die alle mit neuer Musik aus dem Album “Lux Mundi” unterlegt sind. Nummer eins gibt es HIER.
ENGLISH: On a few occasions during the recording of “Lux Mundi” the bands friend Sergey Ulyanov (who did the “Black Hole” video) came to the studio with his camera. He later assembled and edited what he shot and put some of the new songs as background music. That would eventually become a 3 episodes teaser for the new album. So HERE it is 1/3 “Lux Mundi”
