HURTSMILE – Gary Cherone & Co. veröffentlichen Debutalbum & Hörproben online / Gary Cherone and his band of “brothers” to release debut album & song snippets online

DEUTSCH : Hurtsmile heisst die neue Band von Gary Cherone (Extreme, Van Halen), der sich mit seinem Bruder Mark zusammengetan hat um sein bisher prägnantestes Album zu veröffentlichen. Das selbstbetitelte Album “Hurtsmile” wird am 21.01.2011 erscheinen.

Vom Kreissägen-Riff -Opener “Just War Theory” bis zum epischen Finale ”Slave” und “Beyond The Garden/Kicking Against the Goads” scheut Gary auf “Hurtsmile” lyrisch in keinster Weise davor zurück, provokante Themen zu behandeln.

Als Bassist haben die Cherone-Brüder Joe Pessia (ein ehemaliger Mittstreiter Nuno Bettencourts bei Dramagods sowie Gitarrist bei Tantric) rekrutiert. Joe stand Gary zudem als Engineer und Co-Produzent zur Seite. Abgerundet wird das Line-Up von Dana Spellman am Schlagzeug.

ENGLISH : Hurtsmile is the new band featuring singer Gary Cherone (Extreme, Van Halen) who has teamed up with his brother Mark to write his most succinct record to date. The self-titled output “Hurtsmile” will be released on January 21, 2011! From the opening buzz saw riff of “Just War Theory” to the epic finale of ”Slave” and “Beyond The Garden/Kicking Against the Goads”, Gary continues to push and poke you in the ear with his lyrically provocative themes.

The brothers recruited Joe Pessia (bass) an alumnus of Nuno Bettencourt’s Dramagods as well as the guitar player for Tantric. Joe also engineered, and co-produced the record with Gary. To round off the lineup they enlisted heavy hitter Dana Spellman on drums
