28. Januar 2010Deutsch: Metal Blade Records hat sich auf eine langfristige Zusammenarbeit mit den außergewöhnlichen spanischen Newcomern Diabulus In Musica verständigt!
Diabulus In Musica ist eine spanische female fronted Metalband, die sich 2006 gegründet hat und sich selbst als Symphonic Metalband mit Gothicelementen versteht, auch wenn ihre Einflüsse weit darüber hinaus reichen. Die Mitglieder von DIM sind junge Musiker, die aber bereits eine Menge Erfahrung gesammelt haben und die andere Projekte verlassen haben, um sich voll und ganz DIM zu widmen.
Die Musiker von DIM kennen sich allesamt aus der lokalen Metalszene Pamplonas und fanden sich zusammen, um an einer neuen und deutlich ambitionierteren Band zu arbeiten, in welcher sie alle ihre Ideen zum Ausdruck bringen konnten. Ein Ziel, welches sie mit ihrem anstehenden Debütalbum Secrets zur höchsten Zufriedenheit erreicht haben!

English: Metal Blade Records has inked a deal with the outstanding Spanish newcomer Diabulus In Musica! Diabulus In Musica is a female fronted Spanish metal band that started in 2006 and can be defined as symphonic metal with gothic elements, although their influences are quite diverse. The members of DIM are experienced young musicians who decided to leave other projects and commit themselves to this new band.
All of the members of DIM know each other from the local metal scene in Pamplona and wanted to work hard to create a different and serious project that could give expression to all their ideas. A goal they definitely accomplished with their upcoming debut album Secrets!

DEW-SCENTED – unterzeichnen bei Metal Blade Records für Europa! Albumaufnahmen im Februar / sign with Metal Blade Records in Europe! Entering studio in February
28. Januar 2010Deutsch: Die deutschen Thrash Metaller Dew-Scented haben einen Europadeal bei Metal Blade Records für ihr anstehendes, noch unbetiteltes neues Album unterzeichnet!
Die Band kommentiert die Vertragsunterzeichnung wie folgt: “Wir sind glücklich und stolz darauf, einen neuen europäischen Vertrag bei Metal Blade unterschrieben zu haben! Wir kennen die Mitarbeiter des Labels schon seit vielen Jahren und neben der Tatsache, dass Metal Blade eine unglaublich lange Metal-Tradition pflegt, sind wir in den letzten Jahren auch oft mit coolen Bands (wie Amon Amarth, Cannibal Corpse oder God Dethroned) aus ihrem ‘Stall’ auf Tour gewesen, so dass wir uns auf die Zusammenarbeit und auf unser kommendes Album freuen! Wir nehmen in den kommenden Wochen auf und können es nicht erwarten, euch das neue Material vorzustellen!”

Dew-Scented entern im Februar die Soundlodge Studios im Nordern Deutschlands und nehmen gemeinsam mit Produzent Jörg Uken (God Dethroned, Sinister, etc.) – welcher bereits 2007 als Tontechniker beim letzten Album Incinerate dabeigewesen ist – das langerwartete neue Album auf. Eine Veröffentlichung ist für Mai 2010 vorgesehen.

English;: German Thrash Metallers Dew-Scented have signed a European deal with Metal Blade Records for the release of their upcoming, still untitled new studio album.
The band comments the signing as follows: “We are happy to finally be able to announce that we have just signed a new deal with Metal Blade for Europe! We have known the European staff at Metal Blade for many years already and considering the label’s massive history in Metal as well as the fact that their current repertoire includes several cool bands that we have toured with throughout the years like Amon Amarth, Cannibal Corpse or God Dethroned, we look forward to this new co-operation and are excited about the release of our next album, which we will be recorded in the coming weeks.“
Andreas Reissnauer of Metal Blade Europe adds: “Dew-Scented is a driving force in European Thrash Metal. A band that delivered excellent records through the years and that is always giving 110 % on stage. Being fans and friends of the band since day one we are excited to finally be able to work with Dew-Scented in the future. The best is yet to come!”

BRAIN DRILL – vollenden Arbeiten an neuem Album ‘Quantum Catastrophe’/ complete work on new album ‘Quantum Catastrophe’
28. Januar 2010Deutsch: Brain Drill haben die Arbeiten am Nachfolger ihres 2008er Tech Death Meisterwerks Apocalyptic Feasting fertiggestellt! Die Band nimmt ihre Fans auf dem kommenden Album auf eine hirnzerfetzende Reise mit, auf welcher abermals ergründet wird, wie technisch Death Metal eigentlich klingen kann. Quantum Catastrophe führt Brain Drill weiter an ihre körperlichen Grenzen, während ihre bekannten und infektiös eingängigen Riffs nach wie vor herausragen.
Gitarrist Dylan Ruskin erörtert den musikalischen Fortschritt: “The album was definitely a huge accomplishment in the chronicling of the drill. The musical dynamics and skill level of everyone in the band have improved much more than the previous album. The songs are more technical and musically diverse but are also well balanced and catchy, including several bass breaks by Ivan Munguia and two songs written and recorded on guitar by him, entitled Awaiting Eminent Destruction and Mercy To None. Das Coverartwork zu Quantum Catastrophe wird erneut von Par Olofsson (www.parolofsson.se) angefertigt. Das over-the-top Artwork wird in Kürze publiziert und gibt die unglaubliche Musikalität der Band perfekt wieder. Fans können einen ersten Eindruck vom neuem Materiai – wie auch vom neuen Schlagzeuger Ron Chasey – bekommen, indem sie sich ein kürzlich bei YouTube hochgeladenes Video anschauen. Sänger Steve Rathjen erklärt das Konzept hinter Quantum Catastrophe; “Universal decimation (black holes, galactic cosmic radiation), pandemic disease and zombie re-awakenings – mankind is entering an age of mass speculation as foreseen by numerous ancient cultures. Space to all humanity still primarily remains a mystery even in our days of immense technological advancements. We know this void is filled with infinite extremities which could occur at any instant; easily decimating all habitations. We also know our planet has fulfilled these mass extinctions time and again centuries in the past. The question which remains, are we due for another apocalyptic transition?”
English: Brain Drill has completed work on their follow up to 2008′s tech death masterpiece, Apocalyptic Feasting. The band will again take fans on a mind-melting voyage through the boundaries of exactly how incredibly technical death metal can be. Quantum Catastrophe continues to push the band to their physical limits while somehow still exhibiting their trademark and infectious hook-laden riffs.

Quantum Catastrophe again features cover art by Par Olofsson (www.parolofsson.se). ARMORED SAINT – posten ersten Song und Artwork des neuen Albums ‘La Raza’! / posts first single and artwork for new album, “La Raza”!
28. Januar 2010Deutsch: Armored Saint haben das Coverartwork und den ersten Song ihres neuen Albums La Raza gepostet! Das Fundament der neuen Scheibe wurde 2008 gelegt, als Joey Vera und John Bush damit begannen, an neuen Songs zu arbeiten. Der Longplayer wurde im Dezember 2009 in den Tranzformer Studios in Burbank, CA vollendet. Produziert wurde La Raza von Joey Vera selbst, engineered haben Bryan Carlstrom und dessen Assistent John Nuss. Die Aufnahmen gingen größtenteils auf analogem Equipment vonstatten und der finale Mix wurde auf 1-inch-tapes getätigt. Dadurch hat La Raza den organischsten Sound, der überhaupt möglich ist! Um das Paket zu komplettieren, hat die Band die Dienste von Fotografin Stephanie Cabral und Metal Blade Grafikchef Brian Ames in Anspruch genommen. Joey Vera hierzu: “Metal Blade is doing a really cool digipack package for us. We felt like the city of Los Angeles is such a big part of our fabric that we wanted to use that in the design of the artwork. So with the help of our good friend and photographer Stephanie Cabral and Brian Ames from the Metal Blade art department, we came up with a really cool package that represents our band and the music on this record. We also wanted to incorporate a “green” action by leaving out the plastic CD tray and using recycled paper. The result is a classy and poignant package.”

English: Armored Saint has unveiled the cover art and the first single from their first new album since 2001, La Raza! The album’s foundation was laid back in 2008 when Joey Vera and John Bush began writing new material for what would become La Raza and the album was completed in December at Tranzformer Studios in Burbank, CA. The album was produced by bassist Joey Vera, and engineered by Bryan Carlstrom and his assistant John Nuss. Recording was mostly done with analog equipment and the final album mix was delivered on 1 inch tape. This gives La Raza the most organic sound as possible.
